Ruby Franke

Ruby Franke, a former family vlogger for YouTube channel 8 Passengers, was arrested in Springville, Utah, on charges of aggravated child abuse.  According to the Washington County Sheriff’s website, Frank was arrested at 9:33pm yesterday evening, along with her parenting guide and consultant business partner Jodi Hildebrandt, who created the YouTube channel and service “ConneXions.”   Both were charged with second-degree child abuse twice.

In recent years, the YouTube channel “8 Passengers”, which Ruby Franke co-runs with her husband Kevin Franke, has gained national attention when viewers began to believe the couple was abusing their children. The infamous family vlog of the Mormon couple had nearly 2.5 million subscribers at its peak before it was removed from the platform.

Ruby Franke’s eldest daughter, Shari, talking a bit on social media about her connection to her family in 2022 has sparked more options and speculation on the internet. He posted a photo of a police car parked in front of her house following her arrest on Wednesday, with the caption “Finally” on her Instagram Story.

Why was Ruby Franke arrested?

Channel 13 for Fox 13. reported that a neighbor called the police after seeing the boy’s wrists and ankles wrapped in tape.

When police arrived, they found a child who was reported to be “seriously ill, malnourished, and with open wounds.” After the boy was hospitalized, police found another malnourished child at home, Fox 13 reported. Having completed the search, the police found evidence in the house “with visible traces of children”.

Fox 13 said the document also states that Frank had been seen shooting at his home a few days ago, meaning he knew about the kids.   He is being held at the Washington County Jail. Frank’s eldest daughter, Shari, posted another post on her Instagram Story to celebrate the arrest: “Today is an important day. My family and I are happy to get justice. We always have a hard time telling this to the police and the Crown. The Justice Department has been looking into this case for years.

They are happy that they finally decided to come forward.” Video links or audio recordings are shared in Google Docs, which is used to record evidence.
