Know More about Chandrayaan-3 Live Updates

Chandrayaan-3 is India’s planned lunar mission, following the Chandrayaan-2 mission. Developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Chandrayaan-3 aims to achieve a successful soft landing on the Moon’s surface. Unlike Chandrayaan-2, which included an orbiter, lander (Vikram), and rover (Pragyan), Chandrayaan-3 will consist of a lander and a rover, omitting the orbiter component.

The decision to exclude the orbiter is based on the success of the Chandrayaan-2 orbiter, which continues to send valuable data from lunar orbit. By focusing on the lander and rover, ISRO intends to concentrate resources on the critical landing aspect of the mission.

Chandrayaan-3’s lander and rover will be designed to overcome the challenges faced during the Chandrayaan-2 landing attempt. This includes refining the landing process and enhancing communication systems to ensure a successful soft landing on the lunar surface. The rover will be equipped with scientific instruments to analyze soil and rock samples, furthering our understanding of the Moon’s composition and geology.
