Angus Cloud, 25, actor best known for playing drug dealer Fezco “Fez” O’Neill on HBO’s “Euphoria,” has died at the age of 25.
Angus Cloud died Monday at his home in Oakland, California, along with his publisher, Cait Bailey. confirmed to the Associated Press. There was no information regarding the cause of death, however.
According to the Associated Press, Angus Cloud’s family bid farewell to their members, saying that he is not only an artist but also a very close friend, brother and son.
“He buried his father last week and was grappling with the loss of his father,” the family said.
“Our only solace is knowing that Angus is now reunited with his father, who is now his best friend. Angus has opened up his battle with mental illness and hopefully his death reminds others that they are not and are not alone. He must fight alone and in silence.”
The family added, “We want the world to remember his fun, everyone’s smiles and love.”
Angus Cloud has no acting experience before starring in Euphoria. Researcher Eleonor Hendricks found it by chance while walking around New York.
According to the Associated Press, Angus Cloud was not interested at first, thinking it might be a hoax.
However, after meeting with show director Jennifer Venditti and actress Sam Levinson, he eventually fell in love with Zendaya for the first two seasons of the show.
Because of Fith’s beauty, some thought Mr. Cloud and the character were human, according to the Associated Press. However, Angus Cloud dismissed the idea, claiming that he was not the character he portrayed.
